A unique feature in the design for this bathroom is a narrow floor-to-ceiling window in the wall dividing the bathroom from the former housebarn to bring in natural light. The window is equipped with shutters, echoing the architectural rhythm of the wooden wall, which can be closed for privacy. The bath, washbasin and taps are from the Italian designer brand Agape and the walls were clad in waterproof concrete stucco.
The compact kitchen is hand-crafted from brushed oak with a Belgian bluestone worktop. Simple cut-out handles reflect the subdued, understated look and feel of this farmhouse kitchen.
